Jerusalem

There is hardly anywhere in the world as interesting as Jerusalem. With one of the most curious histories Israel is definitely a country worth exploring. And Jerusalem is probably the highlight of the country as it is home to some of the most important reliques and monuments of the three most important world religions.

Visiting Jerusalem spiked many images in my mind, but besides the famous golden dome I didn’t really have the right image of the famous city.

Jerusalem was a pleasant surprise in many ways – maintaining the well-preserved history without being stuck in the past, this is a city I could see myself living.

  1. Visited Jerusalem from Cyprus many years ago. We were closely shepherded around, swiftly moved on when the coach driver or the Mossad people on board received warnings. The tense atmosphere was strangely at odds with what seemed the endless tranquility of the orange groves we passed, though we gathered there were often problems there. It was an experience, but not sure I would want to return, so interesting to learn that you felt you could live there.

    • It is interesting to see how different the experiences you get in the same place can be so different! I wish you had a better one really – because for me it felt like a vibrant young city! On the other that is a very interesting experience as well! Thank you so much for sharing! 🙂
