Carnevale di Venezia – Photo Essay

It has been five days since I arrived here in Venice.

The weather has been great, and having a personal guide to take you to the best pizza and best gelato in town is amazing!

My friend who lives here has been showing us Venice’s every corner. And every art museum and Church – Which have some of the best works of art of all time, – from Bellini, to Tintoretto and Giorgione. The number of amazing paintings in this city is astonishing.

Venice is growing on me.

The perfect little corners, the vases on the windows, the street lamps, and of course – the canals are all too amazing to explain.

But the Carnival has been one of the highlights and with month-long celebrations you don’t need to come to the over-crowded carnival Tuesday to get the feel of a different time.

I will be posting pictures of Venice, and talk about the city, and a post on Venice by night.

Also I am dying to write about Ferrara and Ravenna – two small towns around Venice that were absolutely breathtaking.
