Copa, copacabana

I was there this summer, and thought I’d show you some of the pictures.

It is the place where Incas are thought to have originally come from, and of course it is located in high altitude. It is also home to the biggest high altitude lake – the Titicaca.

It is strange to find the snow covered pics as you look at this sea-like lake.

After a one-hour long boat ride you get to the little “isla del sol” which is the main touristic atraction in the area. Here you will find some of the ruins of the so called first Incas.

You can sped the night there, or you can get a boat to the north part of the island, walk your way south and catch the boat back there. I did the second, and felt it was enough.

Also one of the best places to have some trout – and the ridiculously cheap, freshly caught type.
